The original
Starting from Monistrol-d'Allier, known for its famous Eiffel metal bridge, which spans the tumultuous Allier, this demanding route immediately gets down to serious business up to the Rochegude peak.
From the Allier gorges to the Bouchet lake, from the Devès mountain to the Chibottes scree slopes, the runners of the Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques will take a rough course around the Santiago de Compostela path, before experiencing an exceptional finish after a last climb to the famous Notre-Dame du Puy-en-Velay cathedral, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques allows you to obtain 3 Running Stones, indispensable sesames to participate in the final HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc in Chamonix in 2026. (Only 5 events in France).
