There are no steep climbs or major technical difficulties here—and that is exactly where the trap lies. This single track, hugging the banks of the Allier for nearly five kilometers, gently undulates and keeps you constantly working.

To tackle the rest of the race in good shape and make the most of this welcome respite—at a point accessible to support crews (with mandatory filtering and parking zones)—you’ll need to find the right tempo: run steady without burning yourself out!
